RUTTY RECORDS CAREER HIGHS IN LOSS TO GBC
Wilmington, Del. (1/31/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Goldey-Beacom College, 71-63, this afternoon in action played in the Joseph West Jones Center.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 5-15 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
Dominican outrebounded their counterparts, 38-29, and had seven less turnovers (16-9), but the team shot just 37.1% from the floor, 16.7% from the three-point arc and 53.3% from the foul line. DUNY did take advantage of the GBC turnovers as they were able to score 26 points off the mistakes.
Freshman forward Ketura Rutty had the game's only double-double as she recorded career highs of 25 points and 15 rebounds.
Guard Isabella Javier netted 15 points, while Sky Priester and Dalana Taylor had eight points a-piece in the loss.
Tamia Nunes pulled down 12 boards to go along with a team best four assists and four steals.
The Lady Chargers return home after their four-game road trip on Tuesday evening as they host CACC foe, Caldwell University, at 5:30pm on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
