DiMARSICO AND JAVIER NAMED TO 24-25 CACC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
2024-25 CACC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/15/25) Forty-four student-athletes have qualified for the 2024-25 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara recently announced. The players recognized represent 11 conference schools.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediately preceding term, must be enrolled for at least two full-time semesters at his/her current institution, and must be a second-year student-athlete at his/her current institution. The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
Dominican University New York had two players named to the team. Angelina DiMarsico makes her second apperaance on the team, while Isabella Javier earns her first All-Academic honors.
Goldey-Beacom College saw eight players honored, the most in the league. CACC runner-up Thomas Jefferson University had seven players named to the women's basketball All-Academic Team, and conference champion Holy Family University claimed six.
Among the honorees were four student-athletes with perfect 4.00 GPAs – Chestnut Hill College's Avery White, Katie Yoder of Goldey-Beacom, Holy Family's Skyler Searfoss, and Sam Yencha of Jefferson (graduate GPA). They were part of a group of 10 players on the list with GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
Fifteen members of the All-Academic Team are repeat winners. That total includes five student-athletes who are being recognized for the fourth time – Julie McCarron of Goldey-Beacom, Holy Family's Carolyn Prevost, and Emma Kuczynski, Cassie Murphy and Yencha of Jefferson.
