LADY CHARGERS EARN WIN OVER CALDWELL UNIVERSITY

With the win, Dominican improves to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led Dominican with 18 points, shooting 7-16 from the floor and had six rebounds.
Guard Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) delivered 10 points, four assists and two steals while Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y) had nine points, five rebounds and three assists.
Casey Carangelo (Thomaston, Conn.) pulled down a game best 13 caroms and Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) had 11 rebounds to go along with seven points.
Dominican led 18-12 at the end of the first quarter and opened the second with a jumper by Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) to extend the lead to 20-12. Caldwell fought back and closed out the half on a 7-2 run to claim a 32-31 edge at the break.
The Cougars would extend their lead to as many as seven points (45-38) with three and a half minutes left in the third quarter, but a Suarez jumper with 20 ticks left tied the game at 48-all.
Tied at 54-54 with 7:14 to play, the Lady Chargers closed out the game on a 10-2 run for the win.
DC returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Felician University.
