#2 SEEDED LADY CHARGERS MOVE ON TO THE FINALS OF THE CACC TOURNAMENT WITH A WIN OVER #6 NYACK COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/4/21) The Dominican College Women’s Basketball team defeated the Warriors of Nyack College 83-60 in the semi-finals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/4/21) The Dominican College Women's Basketball team defeated the Warriors of Nyack College 83-60 in the semi-finals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament.

With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 11-1 (10-1 CACC) and move on to the finals against Georgian Court University.

Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) led the way for the Lady Chargers with 19 points including four three-pointers. Latimer also added three rebounds and three assists.

Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) finished the game with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds to complete a double-double. Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) also finished the game with 16 points and added six assists.

For Nyack, Raquel Crooke-Losada finished the game with 17 points and six rebounds. Jasmine Cruse added 15 points and six rebounds. Sarah Wilson finished the game with 10 points and nine assists.

The Lady Chargers outrebounded the Warriors 48-26 in the game. DC's bench outscored Nyack's bench 20-9.

The first two quarters were evenly matched with DC clinging to a one-point lead by halftime. DC came out strong in the third quarter to extend their lead and held Nyack to just 12 points in the quarter.

The Lady Chargers extended to their largest lead of the game in the fourth quarter which was 27 on their way to the 83-60 victory.

The Lady Chargers will be back in action for the final round of the CACC Women's Basketball Championships on Saturday, March 6th when they travel to Georgian Court University. The game is scheduled for 1:00 P.M.
