Bartow, Fla. (3/6/26) The Dominican University New York softball team continued their spring trip to Florida at The Spring Games against Wayne State College and Northwood University.
Dominican fell in both games by a score of 8-0 in five innings as they fall to 0-10 overall.
Game One: Dominican opened the doubleheader against Wayne State College.
The Wildcats scored four runs in the first inning and four runs in the fifth inning to secure the 8-0 win.
The Wildcats improved to 14-2 on the season. Pitcher Taylor Coleman picked up the win for the Wildcats.
DU starting pitcher Victoria Iorio suffered the loss and Gianna Longo enterd the game and tossed one inning.
Deja Robinson picked up the only hit for the Lady Chargers.
Game Two: The Lady Chargers faced the Northwood University Timberwolves in game two.
The Timberwolves defeated the Lady Chargers 8-0 in five innings to improve to 2-6.
The Timberwolves scored two runs in the first, third, and fourth innings while picking up one run in each of the second and fifth innings.
Northwood starting pitcher Kamden Binney picked up the win. DU starter Emily Baxter suffered the loss.
Robinson and Kindel Johnson each picked up one hit.
The Lady Chargers wrap up their trip with a doubleheader tomorrow against Lynn University at 11:00 AM and McKendree at 3:30 PM.
