JOINES AND ESPINO EARN CACC WEEKLY HONORS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/22/16) Dominican College softball players, Desiree Joines and Brianna Espino have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Pitcher and Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 20th. This is Joines's first Pitcher of the Week honors, while Espino earns her second Rookie of the Week accolades.

(3/22/16) Dominican College softball players, Desiree Joines and Brianna Espino have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Pitcher and Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 20th. This is Joines's first Pitcher of the Week honors, while Espino earns her second Rookie of the Week accolades.
A sophomore pitcher from Stewartstown, Pa., Joines went 3-0 with a 1.48 earned run average (ERA). She struck out 17 batters, allowing only three walks in over 23.2 innings of work. Joines yielded five runs in four appearances and threw two complete games.
Espino, a freshman infielder from Holland, Ohio, played a key role in Dominican's 4-1 week, as she batted .500, including a .700 clip in conference games, while also homering and driving in three runs. She also slugged 1.100 in CACC action. Espino blasted a home run to key Dominican's 10-2 win over Georgian Court in game one of Saturday's doubleheader sweep.
