SOFTBALL MOVES UP ONE SPOT IN EAST REGION RANKINGS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/25/13) The Dominican College softball team moved up one spot in the latest NCAA Division II East Region Softball rankings as was announced by the NCAA yesterday.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/25/13)  The Dominican College softball team moved up one spot in the latest NCAA Division II East Region Softball rankings as was announced by the NCAA yesterday.

The Lady Chargers moved up to the eighth spot in this week's poll after being ranked ninth last week.

Dominican currently is 28-18 overall and 23-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play to sit atop of the CACC standings.

DC is one of three teams from the CACC in this week's poll as Caldwell College and Wilmington University also remained in the rankings.  The Cougars slipped one spot to be ranked second in the region, while the Wildcats retained the 10th spot in the poll.

The Lady Chargers have faced seven of the ten teams ranked in the poll and holds a 5-9 record against these teams.  Dominican had a double-header sweep over the Cougars and Wildcats, while splitting a non-conference double-header with Molloy College.
