WOMEN'S SOFTBALL EARNS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE NCAA TOURNAMENT BERTH
Orangeburg, NY (4/30/12) The Dominican College softball team has earned their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance as was announced by the NCAA this morning. The Lady Chargers won their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Championship this past weekend, thus securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.

The Lady Chargers won their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Championship this past weekend, thus securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
Four teams will participate at each of 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments. Regional competition will be held May 4-6.
The Lady Chargers will participate in the east 2 regional site portion of the bracket which will be hosted by #3 C.W. Post University.
Dominican has an overall record of 37-15 and posted a 4-0 record last week during play at the CACC Championships. DC has earned the sixth seed in the east regional and will face, C.W. Post University on Friday, May 4th at 1pm.

Winners will advance to the super regionals May 11-12. The finals will be held May 16-19 at Knights Field in Louisville, Ky., and will be hosted by Bellarmine and the Louisville Sports Commission.
