Rockville Centre, NY (4/1/12) The Molloy College women's softball team snapped a 12 game winning streak for the Lady Charger softball squad after defeating them, 2-1 and 3-2, this afternoon in non-conference action played at the Dean G. Skelos Complex. With the losses, Dominican falls to 18-10 overall.

Skelos Complex. With the losses, Dominican falls to 18-10 overall.
Game One: Molloy had a 1-0 lead after two innings when the Lady Chargers struck for a run in the third on a home run to left field off the bat of Kathryn Coles (Farmville, VA) to tie the score at 1-1. A two out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave Molloy the 2-1 victory.
Delaney Childers (Johnstown, OH) took the loss (11-5) in seven innings, allowing two runs on nine hits.
Game Two: Game two was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Lions put three runs on the board. A two run homer to left center field from Shelby Wassmann (Loudoun, VA) cut the deficit to 3-2.
Catcher Ashley Corrao (Staten Island, NY) went 2-2 in the game.
Katrina Pistilli* (Staten Island, NY) fell to 7-5 overall, allowing three runs (none earned) on six hits.
Dominican is back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Chestnut Hill College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
