SOFTBALL EXTENDS WINNING STREAK
Orangeburg, NY (3/30/12) The Dominican College softball squad extended their winning streak to a program high 12 games after defeating the visiting Deacons of Bloomfield College , 10-2 and 3-0, this afternoon in games played at the DC Softball Field. With the win, Dominican improves to 18-8 overall and 12-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.

Game One: Four Lady Chargers collected two hits each in the game one 10-2 victory.
Starter Delaney Childers (Johnstown, OH) picked up the win (11-5) in six innings of work, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and five strikeouts.
Game Two: Dominican scored two runs in the third inning as Julie Plante* (Swansea, MA) had an RBI double to center field and Childers had an RBI single to left field.
DC extended the lead in the third as Kathryn Coles (Farmville, VA) had an RBI bunt single to give the Lady Chargers the 3-0 lead and eventual victory.
Right-handed pitcher Katrina Pistilli* (Staten Island, NY) got the shutout victory to improve to 7-4 on the season, striking out four batters.
Dominican travels to Molloy College on Sunday.
