LADY CHARGERS SOFTBALL LOSE TWO AT NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER GAMES

AIC edged DC in the first game 7-6 in nine innings and took the second game 4-1.
In the first game senior Sarah Beck (Milton, NY) gave DC the lead with a three run blast in the top of the fourth inning.
Trailing 4-3 in the sixth, freshman Deidre Jeppson (Sylmar, CA) hit a three run triple to once gain give the Lady Chargers a lead at 6-4. However AIC came back as first baseman Kellie Brown (Gill, MA) tied the game in the sixth with a two-run triple.
For AIC senior Deanna Zanetti (Hampden, MA)
crossed the plate with the game-winning run in the ninth inning of
game-one on sac-fly off the bat of freshman center fielder
Ashleigh St. Peter (Suffield,
CT).
AIC's four runs in game-two were the result of a two-run triple
from graduate third baseman Tara DeMontier (Amesbury,
MA) and a two-run double from
Zanetti.
Dominican's lone run game in the first inning as Beck singled to right to score junior Nicole Philpot (Dingmans Ferry, PA).
With the losses Dominican falls to 0-2 on the season, while AIC improves to 5-3.
Dominican is back in action tomorrow at the National Training Center (NTC) games when they take on Bentley College.
