MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISH 7TH AT QUEENSBOROUGH CC XC INVITATIONAL
Bronx, N.Y. (9/19/16) The Dominican College men's cross country team took sixth place yesterday at the Queensborough CC XC Invitational held at Van Cortlandt Park.
Bronx, N.Y. (9/19/16) The Dominican College men's cross country team took sixth place yesterday at the Queensborough CC XC Invitational held at Van Cortlandt Park.
Dominican finished with a team score of 174 to finish in seventh place. Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Chestnut Hill Colege, won the team title with a score of 40.
Sophomore captain Darren Guzman* (Teaneck, N.J.) was the top finisher for the Chargers in the 8.05K race with a time of 29:11.9 to finish in second place.
Freshman Andrew Souza (New London, Conn.) ran a time of 33;05.7 to finish in 27th place, while Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 35th place with a time of 34:16.5.
Leonard Kiplagat (Eldoret, Kenya) finished in 67th place with a time of 37:36.5, while David Jeffers (Florida, N.Y.) had a time of 38:42.8 to finish in 80th place.
