REDHAWKS SWEEP SEASON SERIES OVER CHARGERS
Rochester, N.Y. (3/21/26) The Dominican University New York men's volleyball team continued ECC play on the road against Roberts Wesleyan University this afternoon.
The Redhawks swept the Chargers 3-0 and take the season series 2-0 as they improve to 14-10 overall and 2-1 in the ECC. The Chargers fall to 5-15 overall and 1-2 in the ECC after the loss.
RWU jumped out in front 2-0 after a 25-17 win in the first set and then a 25-18 win in the second set.
The third set saw a back and forth battle between both teams. The Chargers largest lead was three points and they held a 22-19 advantqge down the stretch.
The Redhawks went on a 9-4 run to complete the late comeback and secure the 3-0 sweep.
The Chargers were led by Tommaso Falchi who finished with a team-high 10 kills while adding four block assists and two service aces for 14 points scored.
Ayden Shaw picked up six kills while Phinehas Wiley and Hunter Paio each added five kills. Wiley finished with three block assists while Paio had a team-high two solo blocks and five block assits for seven total blocks.
Setter Seth Terry picked up a team-high 28 assists while also adding a team-high in digs with seven.
The Chargers return home next Friday night when they host Merrimack College at 6:00 PM on Coach Baxter Court.
