CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL DOWN YELLOW JACKETS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/15/26) The Dominican University New York men's volleyball team defeated the visiting Yellow Jackets from American International College, 3-0, this afternoon in East Coast Conference (ECC) action played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
With the win, the Chargers improve to 5-14 overall and 1-1 in ECC play.
Dominican won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-20.
The Chargers had strong attack percentage in all three sets by posting a .429 (11-2-21) in set one, .520 (15-2-25) in set two and finishing the match with a .348 (12-4-23) in the final set.
Junior Phinehas Wiley tallied nine kills, a .533 attack percentage and four block assists in the win.
Ayden Shaw recorded nine kills and five digs, while freshman Jackson Shaw finished with nine kills, a .500 attack percentage and five digs in the win.
Setter Seth Terry produced a match high 33 assists and four digs, while libero Alejandro Miranda had four digs.
Outside hitter Hunter Paio added five kills.
The Chargers return to action on March 21st when they travel to Roberts Wesleyan University.
