DEL VALLE GUERRERO TAKES TOP SPOT IN HIGH JUMP AT VASSAR SPRING INVITE
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (4/27/25) The Dominican University New York men's track and field team took part in the Vassar Spring Invite held yesterday.
Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero won the high jump event, took second place in the 110m and was part of the 4x100m relay team that also placed second.
In the triple jump, Jeffrey Li Rivera took second place, while Aaron Williams took second in the 200m dash and the 100m dash.
MEN'S RESULTS
- Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero won the high jump event with a jump of 1.90m (6' 2.75").
- In the triple jump, Jeffrey Li Rivera took second place with a jump of 12.87m (42' 2.75").
- The 4x100m relay team of Aidan Mallon, Aaron Williams, Thiea Shea and Maurice Douglas ran a time of 43.15 to take second place in the event.
- The 110m hurdles saw Del Valle take second place with a time of 15.92 and Rivera take fourth place with a time of 16.19.
- Williams took second place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.41. M. Douglas finished in 24th place with a time of 23.71 and Shea took 25th place with a time of 23.72. Jameel Richardson ran a time of 24.22 to finish in 30th place.
- The 100m dash also saw Williams take second place with a time of 10.90. M. Douglas took 11th place with a time of 11.32, while Aidan Mallon finished in 30th place with a time of 12.18.
- Aidan Nelson finished in third place in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 10:51.36.
- Rivera also competed in the long jump where he finished in sixth place with a jump of 6.16m (20' 2.5").
- The 1500m run saw Deshawn Douglas finish in eight place with a time of 4:16.48. Zachary Dertinger took 14th place with a time of 4:50.85, while Eslian Henriquez Flores finished in 17th place with a time of 5:03.93.
- Samuel Fileen took ninth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:03.77, while D. Douglas took 12th place with a time of 2:06.31. Prince Copeland finished in 15th place with a time of 2:07.10.
- The 400m dash saw Fileen finish in 11th place with a time of 51.25. Sam Samala took 21st place with a time of 54.66 with Richardson finishing in 22nd place with a time of 54.70. David Castro ran a time of 56.28 to finish in 24th place, while Connor Grable finished in 26th place with a time of 56.95. Steven Hanna took 30th place with a time of 59.74.

The Chargers return to action next weekend at the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships to be held on the campus of Georgian Court University.
