LAUREDENT WINS TRIPLE JUMP AT SAINT PETER'S INVITE #2

Jersey City, N.J. (4/14/21) Freshman Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) won the triple jump at the Saint Peter's Invite #2 meet held in Lincoln Park.

Jersey City, N.J. (4/14/21) Freshman Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) won the triple jump at the Saint Peter's Invite #2 meet held in Lincoln Park.

Lauredent won the event with a jump of 14.30m (46 feet, 11 inches).  He also competed in the 100m dash where he finished in 21st place with a time of 12.34 and 36th in the 200m dash with a time of 25.15.

The Dominican 4x100m relay team of Ezra Evans (Greensboro, N.C.), Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.), Hector DeLorenzo (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) and Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) took second place in the event with a time of 44.82.

In the discus event Louis Rodriguez (Monsey, N.Y.) had the high finish of fourth place with a throw of 29.85m (97 feet, 11 inches).  Vincent Faison (Chester, N.Y.) took seventh place with a throw of 20.42m (67 feet, 0 inches) and Lawrence Ribiero (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) finished in eighth place with a throw of 19.83m (65 feet, 1 inch).

Suarez, Evans and DeLorenzo all also competed in the 100m dash and finished in 12th, 16th and 19th place.  Suarez ran a time of 11.80, while Evans had a time of 12.01 and DeLorenzo finished with a time of 12.15.  Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) took 13th place with a time of 11.83 and Christopher Jackson finished in 23rd place with a time of 12.64.

Thompson had the high finish of ninth place in the 200m dash with a time of 23.51.  Suarez and Evans finished in 16th and 17th place with times of 23.92 and 23.96, while Olatunji Adewole (North Plainfield, N.J.) had a time of 24.29 to finish in 26th place.  Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) took 32nd place with a time of 24.84 and DeLorenzo finished in 34th place with a time of 24.91.  Lauredent ran a time of 25.15 to finish in 36th place.

Middle distance runner Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) finished in 14th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:10.32.
