CHARGERS EDGE EAGLES

Sparkill, N.Y. (3/30/22) The Dominican College men's tennis team avenged a loss last week by defeating the visiting Eagles of Post University, 4-3, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played at the Riley Family Tennis Courts.

Sparkill, N.Y. (3/30/22) The Dominican College men's tennis team avenged a loss last week by defeating the visiting Eagles of Post University, 4-3, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played at the Riley Family Tennis Courts.

With the win Dominican improves to 4-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

The Eagles earned the doubles point, winning two of the three matches, but Dominican went on to win the first four singles matches to earn the victory.

Marcos Lee (New York, N.Y.) and Anthony Kwok (Floreal, Mauritius) won their doubles match, 7-5 and won their matches at second and third singles to go 2-0 on the day.

Red-shirt sophomore Guilherme Salim (Brasilia, Brazil) brought home a victory in first singles, 7-6 (7-1) and 6-4, while Tanaka Chabata (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) secured the win at fourth singles, besting his opponent 6-1, 7-6 (7-5).
