Frostburg, Md. (3/14/22) The Dominican College men's tennis team shut out host Frostburg State University, 7-0, this afternoon in a non-conference match played at the Cordts Tennis Complex.
With the win Dominican improves to 2-1 on the season, while Frostburg State falls to 0-2.
Dominican picked up the doubles point with wins in first and second doubles as Marcos Lee (New York, N.Y.) and Anthony Kwok (Floreal, Mauritius) defeated Origen Grear and Desire Johnson, 6-2. The team of Guilherme Salim (Brasilia, Brazil) and Skylar Ross (Johannesburg, South Africa) defeated their counterparts 6-2.
All six singles points went to the Chargers with Salim, Lee, Kwok and Ross picking up second win of the day. Tanaka Chabata (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) and Ander Cantero Sadaba (San Sebastian, Spain) earned their first wins of the day in fourth singles and sixth singles.
