MEN'S TENNIS WINS PROGRAM'S FIRST MATCH AGAINST RAMS
Pearl River, N.Y. (3/25/21) The Dominican College men's tennis team won the program's first match this afternoon after they defeated the visiting Rams of Thomas Jefferson University, 4-3, this afternoon at Cherry Brook Park.
Pearl River, N.Y. (3/25/21) The Dominican College men's tennis team won the program's first match this afternoon after they defeated the visiting Rams of Thomas Jefferson University, 4-3, this afternoon at Cherry Brook Park.
With the win, Dominican improves to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
The Rams won two out of three doubles for the early 1-0 lead. The Charger team of Anthony Kwok (Floreal, Mauritius) and Julien Rauber (Mond de Marsan, France) won their match in first doubles by the score of 7-5.
Freshman Guilherme Salim (Brasilia, Brazil) got Dominican on the scoreboard with a win in first singles by scores of 6-3 and 7-6 (7-1).
Marcos Lee (New York, N.Y.) won his match in third singles by the scores of 7-6 (7-5) and 7-5, while Kwok picked up his second victory of the day in fifth singles by the scores of 7-5 and 6-3.
Rauber concluded the match with a win in sixth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-3 to bring home the 4-3 win..
The Chargers are scheduled to return to action tomorrow when they travel to non-conference opponent, Queens College
