SANCHEZ NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT® MEN'S SOCCER TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/12/21) Dominican College men's soccer player, Antonio Zhu Sanchez (Alfafar Valencia, Spain) has been named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team as was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/12/21) Dominican College men's soccer player, Antonio Zhu Sanchez (Alfafar Valencia, Spain) has been named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team as was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The 2021 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccers Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
Sanchez, a midfielder/defender earns his first All-District® First Team honors in 2021. The three-year team captain previously was named to the All-CACC First team. Sanchez also earned two CACC Defensive Player of the Week accolades and was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll once this season.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the links above, and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
