(4/11/21) The top-two seeds -- No. 1 Dominican College and No. 2 Concordia College -- pulled out hard-fought wins in Friday's semifinals to reach the final of the Spring 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship. The Chargers and Clippers will square off in Orangeburg, N.Y., on Sunday night at 8 p.m., for the league title.

(4/11/21) The top-two seeds -- No. 1 Dominican College and No. 2 Concordia College -- pulled out hard-fought wins in Friday's semifinals to reach the final of the Spring 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship. The Chargers and Clippers will square off in Orangeburg, N.Y., on Sunday night at 8 p.m., for the league title.
It will mark the first time the two teams will square off against each other, as the regular season contest was cancelled due to COVID. Dominican defeated No. 4 Holy Family University, 1-0, while Concordia knocked off No. 6 Georgian Court University, 2-1, in double overtime.

Giacomo Salvarezza scored in the 33rd minute, and that was all the Chargers needed in pulling out the semifinal win over the Tigers. Dominican held a slim, 14-11, advantage in shots, and goalkeeper Joshua Stephens turned aside all four shots faced in picking up the shutout victory.

Nemanja Zivanovic scored 27 seconds into the second overtime to lift Concordia over GCU and into Sunday's final. It was the lone shot of the match taken by Zivanovic, who was the Spring 2021 CACC Player of the Year.
The match went to extra time after Georgian Court tied it up with two minutes left in a regulation on penalty kick goal scored by Niklas Laenger. His equalizer came just 10 minutes after Johan Feilscher gave the Clippers a 1-0 advantage in the 78th. Concordia held a 15-11 edge in shots. Dario Giovanni Cruz stopped 2-of-3 shots faced to earn the win in net.
