CORNER KICK GOAL LIFTS CHARGERS OVER RAMS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/19/21) Junior midfielder Maximino Casares Martinez (Ciudad De Panama, Panama) found the back of the net on a corner kick to lift the Dominican College men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Rams of Thomas Jefferson University, 1-0, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the OMM Soccer Complex.

With the win, Dominican improves to 2-0 overall.

The lone goal came at the 53:45 mark on the corner kick opportunity and was one of 11 total shots that DC took in the contest.  It was Martinez's first score of the season.

CACC Keeper of the Week, Joshua Stephens (Stony Creek, Ontario), picked up three saves in his second shut out of the year.

Ram keeper John Nelson als had three saves.

Dominican is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Georgian Court University.
