MEN'S SOCCER TOPS FELICIAN UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/25/16) The Dominican College men's soccer team topped the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/25/16)  The Dominican College men's soccer team topped the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field.

With the win, Dominican improves to 5-11 overall and 4-7 in conference play.

Senior James Gragson (Topeka, Kan.) netted the first two goals of the game to give DC the 2-0 advantage.  The first goal came at 25:02 when he tallied the unassisted goal after beating a defender and putting the ball in the net from the left side.

Gragson followed in the 53rd minute with his second game goal on a shot into the lower right corner of the net after the pass from Sergio Monton (Madrid, Spain).

The Golden Falcons got on the board in the 72nd minute of play with a goal, but junior Rickyle Balea (Brisbane, Australia) regained the two goal lead with an unassisted score at 88:55 for the final 3-1 win.

The Chargers outshot the Goldlen Falcons, 24-6 and had the slim 2-1 edge in corner kicks.

Starting keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made two saves in 82:37, while Matthew Snow (Greenville, N.Y.) played the remaining 7:23.

DC concludes the regular season this coming Friday when they host Wilmington University.
