LIONS DEFEAT CHARGERS

Lakewood, N.J. (10/15/16) The Georgian Court University men's soccer team defeated the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 3-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the campus of Georgian Court University.

Lakewood, N.J. (10/15/16)  The Georgian Court University men's soccer team defeated the visiting Chargers of Dominican College, 3-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the campus of Georgian Court University.

Following the loss, the Chargers fall to 4-10 overall and 3-6 in conference play.

Dominican held the advantage in both shots (13-12) and corner kicks (8-2), but GCU were able to put one shot past the keeper in the first half and two in the second for the 3-0 win.

Freshman Sergio Monton (Madrid, Spain) had four shots in the game with two of them being on-goal.

Senior keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made two saves in the loss.

DC will host Bloomfield College on Wednesday afternoon in a CACC game on the DC Soccer Field.
