PANTHERS SHUT OUT MEN'S SOCCER

Garden City, N.Y. (9/3/16) The Dominican College men's soccer team fell to host Adelphi University, 2-0, this evening in a non-conference game played on Motamed Field. With the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-2 on the season.

Garden City, N.Y. (9/3/16)  The Dominican College men's soccer team fell to host Adelphi University, 2-0, this evening in a non-conference game played on Motamed Field.  With the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-2 on the season.

Adelphi netted their first goal just three minutes into the contest on a head shot off a corner kick.

The score would remain 1-0 until the 79:31 mark when the Panthers netted another goal for the 2-0 lead and eventual win.

Stefan Gualano (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) led Dominican with five shots on the night.

Senior keeper Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) had a career high 12 saves in the loss.

DC is back in action on Thursday night as they travel to non-conference opponent, University of Bridgeport.
