# 12 MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS NYACK COLLEGE

Nyack, NY (10/10/09) The Dominican College men's soccer team, currently holding the top spot in the NCAA East Region Rankings and ranked 12th nationally in the NSCAA/Adidas Poll, defeated Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Nyack College, 1-0 this afternoon.

Nyack, NY (10/10/09)  The Dominican College men's soccer team, currently holding the top spot in the NCAA East Region Rankings and ranked 12th nationally in the NSCAA/Adidas Poll, defeated Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Nyack College, 1-0 this afternoon.

The lone goal came off the foot of freshman midfielder Pedro Franklin De Araujo (Campinas-SP, Brazil) who netted his fourth goal of the season off the corner kick from senior James Hamilton (Paisley, Scotland).

Dominican outshot the Warriors, 12-7 and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Charger goalie Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) made two saves in the victory.

With the victory Dominican improves to 11-0-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the CACC, while Nyack falls to 3-4-1 overall and 4-8-1 in the CACC.

DC is back in action Wednesday when they host Post University in a CACC contest at the DC Soccer Field.  Game time is set for 3:30 pm.
