FIVE CHARGERS NAMED TO ECC COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (7/14/16) Five members of the Dominican College men's lacrosse team have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 0215-2016 Academic year.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (7/14/16) Five members of the Dominican College men's lacrosse team have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 0215-2016 Academic year.
Andrea Larrea, Tyler Maher, Kevin Mayer, Shaun Palmer and Kyle Souza all received the honors.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 or better cumulative grade point average. This annual recognition, in addition to Scholar-Athlete awards, helps to uphold the East Coast Conference's mission of promoting the total person and the ability to excel not only in the athletic arena but also in the classroom.
"What a great year for the ECC and for all of those who earned a place on the ECC Commissioners Honor Roll," stated ECC Commissioner Dr. Robert Dranoff. "We are very proud of the record breaking academic performances of those student-athletes who participate in ECC sports. As always, the commitment to excellence in the classroom, along with service to the community, go hand-in-hand with the effort given in athletics. Congratulations!"
The total of 1,261 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll sets an all-time high. This is now the seventh consecutive year, the number of honorees at the ECC's 11 member institutions and seven associate members has increased (1, 125 in 2014-15; 1,102 in 2013-14; 979 in 2012-13; 759 in 2011-12; 678 in 2010-11; 654 in 2009-10; 617 in 2008-09; 613 in 2007-08).
