MEN'S LACROSSE DEFEAT YELLOW JACKETS
Hillburn, N.Y. (3/15/16) Senior attacker Conor Reeves* (Tappan, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Ryan Wiberly (Setauket, N.Y.) netted five goals a-piece to lead the Dominican College men's lacrosse team to a 19-14 victory over the visiting Yellow Jackets of American International College in a non-conference game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

Reeves added three assists to finish with eight game points, while Wiberly tallied two assists to finish with seven game points.
Freshman David Arent (Huntington Beach, Calif.) scored three goals and two assists, while Cristopher Polanco (White Plains, N.Y.) and Kevin Mayer* (Wantagh, N.Y.) netted two goals each in the win.
Aaron Yulfo (Shirley, N.Y.) and Blake Israel (Parkland, Fla.) had the other Charger goals.
Goalie Joseph Fabiilli (Glen Head, N.Y.) made 10 saves in 45 minutes in the net, while Matthew Sandelier (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) had two saves in 12:52. Carlos Villaman (Montgomery, N.Y.) played the last 2:08 in goal.
Dominican scored the game's first goal, but AIC went on a 2-0 spurt for the early lead. Reeves began and ended a 3-0 first quarter ending surge for DC and give them a 4-2 lead.
Reeves sparked another 3-0 run for the Chargers to start the second frame and extend their lead to 7-2 with 7:40 to play before the break. The Yellow Jackets used a 3-0 run of their own to cut the deficit to 7-5, but DC closed out the half with three unanswered goals for the 10-5 lead.
AIC started the third quarter with two quick goals to make the score 10-7, but Dominican outscored them 4-1 over the remaining five and half minutes to give them their biggest lead of the contest, 14-6.
Leading 16-8 with 12:46 to go, the Yellow Jackets went on a 6-1 run to bring them within three goals (17-14) with 4:26 to play, but the Chargers closed out the game with two goals for the 19-14 win.
With the victory, Dominican improves to 3-4 on the season.
DC returns to action on Friday as they travel to non-conference foe, Post University.
