BRANCACCIO TABBED MEN'S LACROSSE COACH
Orangeburg, NY (12/3/10) Dominican College Director of Athletics, Joseph Clinton, has announced the hiring of Matthew Brancaccio as the Chargers Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. Brancaccio has spent the past three months as the interim coach after the resignation of Manny Rapkin.
Orangeburg, NY (12/3/10) Dominican College Director of Athletics, Joseph Clinton, has announced the hiring of Matthew Brancaccio as the Chargers Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. Brancaccio has spent the past three months as the interim coach after the resignation of Manny Rapkin.
Brancaccio spent the 2010 season as an assistant coach for the DC men's lacrosse team.
"I am excited to take over the responsibilities as the head coach for the dominican college men's lacrosse program. The guys on the team are great and I am eager to see how successful we can be in the spring," said Brancaccio.
Brancaccio was a four-year starter at DeSales University as an attackman, where he holds both the Single Season Assist Record and the All-Time Assist Record. He was also a Second Team All-Conference selection twice in his collegiate career.
During his time at DeSales, Brancaccio was a member of the winningest class in school history. He was part of the Bulldogs first playoff berth in school history.
"The athletic department is very excited to have Matt take over as our men's lacrosse coach," said Clinton. "His hard-work and dedication to the program over the past three months while he served as the interim head coach has shown that he will be an excellent head coach.
A graduate of DSU Brancaccio gained his B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science.
