#22/#24 MEN'S BASKETBALL PICKS UP ROAD WIN AT GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY
Lakewood, N.J. (2/5/22) The #22/#24 Dominican College men's basketball defeated the Georgian Court University Lions, 60-54, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played in the Wellness Center.

The win improves the Chargers overall record to 14-4 and 7-3 in CACC play, while the Lions fall to 4-17 overall and 3-10 in the conference.
Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) led all scorers with 20 points and posted DC's only double-double with 10 rebounds.
Guard Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) came off the bench to net 12 points and three boards, while Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) netted 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Lions were led by Olisa Ngonadi with 15 points and 11 rebounds and Davon Floyd who scored 12 points.
Dominican never trailed in the contest and held their biggest advantage, 20-10, with 6:45 to play int he first half on a layup by Emmanuel Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
Georgian Court would rally to tie the game (39-39) with 12:02 left in regulation, but a nine straight Charger points rebuilt a 48-39 lead with under 10 to go. GCU would cut the lead to 56-54 with 1:29 on the clock, but a bucket from Johnson and two free throws from Burgess secured the 60-54 victory.
DC will host Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday, February 9th, in the Hennessy Center in their next contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
