Following the loss Dominican is now 8-1 on the season, while SNHU improves to 6-4 overall.
Graduate student Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) led all scorers and five Chargers in double figures with 20 points and a game best nine rebounds.
Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) chipped in 15 points and six boards, while Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.), Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) and Brandt Roundtree (Plainfield, N.J.) all scored 12 points a-piece in the loss. Copman pullled down five rebounds, while Roundtree and Grant had four rebounds each.
Southern New Hampshire were led by Aaron Gray and Matt Brecht who scored 19 points each.
The game featured 17 lead changes and six ties. The Chargers biggest lead of the game was eight points (19-11) with 11:14 left in the first half, while SNHU's biggest lead was seven points (69-62) with 3:15 left to play.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Adelphi University.
