(12/4/18) The Dominican College men's basketball squad improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating the visiting Eagles of Post University, 79-68, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

(12/4/18) The Dominican College men's basketball squad improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating the visiting Eagles of Post University, 79-68, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
With the win, Dominican improves to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CACC.
The Chargers led 29-22 with three and a half minutes left in the half, but a 10-6 closing haf run by the Eagles cut the lead to 35-32 at the intermission.
Junior guard Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) led all scorers in the half wth 15 points.
Dominican used a 21-5 tear in the second half to turn a 38-37 deficit into a 59-42 lead with 9:15 left in regulation as they cruised to the 79-68 victory.
DC outrebounded their opponents, 36-31, while Post reserves outscored Dominican's reserves, 34-28.
Rodwell led five players in double figures with 21 points, while grabbing eight rebounds and two blocks.
Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) came off the bench to net 14 points, going 4-6 from the three-point arc, while Ian Gardener (Norwalk, Conn.), Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) and Sayon Charles (Staten Island, N.Y.) netted 10 points a-piece in the win. Garcia added seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Center Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed a night best 10 rebounds in the win.
The Chargers travel to CACC North Division foe, Nyack College, this coming Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 3pm.
