IRVIN EARNS ALL-CACC ACCOLADES
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/24/17) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named to the 2016-2017 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First team as was announced this morning by Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting for the all-conference teams and major award winners was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport of men's basketball.

(2/24/17) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named to the 2016-2017 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First team as was announced this morning by Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting for the all-conference teams and major award winners was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport of men's basketball.
Irvin, a junior forward who hails from Bay Shore, N.Y. makes his first appearance on the All-CACC First Team. He currently leads the conference in total rebounds (286), offensive rebounds (115), rebounds per game (10.2) and games played (28). He ranks third in blocks (46) and 11th in scoring (15.8 ppg). He leads the Chargers in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounds (10.2 rpg), while being the only Charger averaging a double-double for the season. Irvin has recorded 13 double-doubles this season.
He is one of this year's captains and was named to the ECC-CACC Challenge presented by WNY Knee and Orthopedic Surgery PC All-Tournament Team. Irvin has earned three CACC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season.
