The Chargers rallied in the second half and used a layup from guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) to cut the deficit to 65-63 and trailed 67-65 with two and half minutes to go, but Philadelphia went on a 8-0 run to close out the game.
Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) came off the bench to lead the team with 18 points, while adding five rebounds and two blocks.
Guard Grant finished with a team best eight boards and 17 points.
Senior Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.) led the team with four assists.
Following the setback, the Chargers are now 12-9 overall and 7-5 in conference play.
Dominican returns home on Wednesday night when they host Caldwell University.
