IRVIN EARNS SECOND STRAIGHT CACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/21/16) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 20th. This is Irvin's second consecutive CACC Defensive Player of the Week accolades this season.

(11/21/16) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 20th. This is Irvin's second consecutive CACC Defensive Player of the Week accolades this season.
Irvin, a junior forward from Bay Shore, N.Y., earned his second-consecutive weekly defensive award after he averaged 9.0 rebounds (7.0 def. rpg), 2.3 blocks and 0.3 steals per game in a 3-0 week for the Chargers. He had 10 rebounds and six blocks in an 82-68 win over Mercy. Irvin also collected 11 boards in a CACC win over Post. For the week, Irvin also tallied 17.3 points per contest.
