IRVIN TABBED CACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/15/16) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week as was announced by CACC Commissioner, Dan Mara, this morning.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/15/16) Dominican College men's basketball player, Gerrel Irvin, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week as was announced by CACC Commissioner, Dan Mara, this morning.
The junior forward, who hails from Bay Shore, N.Y., averaged two double-doubles in a 1-1 week for Dominican. He netted 22 points and 15 rebounds in a victory over Roberts Wesleyan College and added 12 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Daemen. For the two games, he averaged 17.0 ppg and 14.5 rpg to be named to the All-Tournament Team. Irvin also had two steals per game and two blocks per game.
This is Irvin's first weekly accolades this season.
