CHARGERS FALL IN CACC QUARTERFINALS
Philadelphia, Pa. (2/27/16) The Dominican College men's basketball team, the fourth-seed in the North Division, fell to the overall top seed, Holy Family University, 76-60, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal game played at the Campus Center.

Sophomore Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had a game best 25 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
Travis Cook (Middletown, N.Y.) added 14 points and seven caroms, while Glenn Scalia (River Vale, N.Y.) tallied eight points and six boards.
Joe Clinton* (Pearl River, N.Y.) finished with four points, four rebounds and three assists, while Kristopher Hargraves* (Teaneck, N.J.) had team highs of five assists and nine rebounds.
Five points from Scalia that began with 14:03 left in the first half catapulated the Chargers ahead, 14-8 and an another five straight DC points from Irvin extended the lead to 19-12 with 11:22 to play in the half.
An Irvin layup with under 11 minutes left in the half put Dominican up, 21-12, but a 12-2 Tiger tear put them ahead, 29-28 and they closed out the stanza with seven straight points to pull in front 36-28 at the break.
Holy Family never trailed in the second half, although the Chargers got within six points on a Hargraves free throw with 16:25 left.
With the loss, Dominican ends their season with an overall record of 10-19.
