2016 CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT READY TO TIP OFF AFTER REGULAR SEASON CONCLUDES

(2/24/16) The eight-team field for the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship is set following the conclusion of the 2015-16 regular season on Tuesday night. The announcement of the tournament's official bracket was made on Tuesday night by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

(2/24/16) The eight-team field for the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship is set following the conclusion of the 2015-16 regular season on Tuesday night. The announcement of the tournament's official bracket was made on Tuesday night by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.
The post-season tournament will begin with the quarterfinals on Saturday at the sites of the highest seeds. Saturday's four winners will advance to Championship Weekend next Thursday-Saturday, March 3-5, at Dominican College in Orangeburg, N.Y. The winner of the CACC Tournament will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament.
Both Bloomfield College and Holy Family University won their respective regular season Division Championships, as the Bears captured the North with a 13-6 conference record, while the Tigers took the South with a 17-2 mark. Holy Family will be the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament thanks to its 81-72 win over the Bears back on Feb. 13.
Holy Family (#1 South) will play host to North No. 4 seed Dominican College in the quarterfinals in Philadelphia, while Bloomfield (#1 North) will face off against Chestnut Hill College (#4 South) in New Jersey. Both games will tip at 4:30 p.m., following the conclusion of the women's quarterfinal games earlier in the day.
Defending CACC Champion Philadelphia University (#2 South) will host North No. 3 seed Concordia College, while Post University (#2 North) will square off against the South No. 3 seed University of the Sciences. The PhilaU-Concordia contest will also tip off at 4:30 p.m., while the Post-USciences affair will begin at 2 p.m.

#4S CHESTNUT HILL at #1N BLOOMFIELD // Saturday, 4:30 p.m., Bloomfield, N.J.
Regular Season Meeting: Bloomfield 82, Chestnut Hill 80 (Jan. 22, at Bloomfield)
Key Performers: Claude Blue poured in a team-best 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting to lead Bloomfield to the win. However, Edward McWade pumped in 21 points for the Griffins, who staged a major second-half rally from 19 down at halftime to make the game interesting.
#3N CONCORDIA at #2S PHILADELPHIA // Saturday, 4:30 p.m., Philadelphia, Pa.
Regular Season Meeting: Philadelphia 78, Concordia 67 (Jan. 6, at Philadelphia)
Key Performers: Brendan Kilpatrick narrowly missed a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Rams to the win, while Peter Aguilar kept the Clippers in it with a game-high 25 points.
#4N DOMINICAN at #1S HOLY FAMILY // Saturday, 4:30 p.m., Philadelphia, Pa.
Regular Season Meeting: Holy Family 91, Dominican 69 (Jan. 6, at Dominican)
Key Performers: Reggie Charles was outstanding offensively with 23 points and five assists to lead the Tigers to victory. Sayon Charles paced the Chargers' attack with 19 points.
#3S USCIENCES at #2N POST // Saturday, 2 p.m., Waterbury, Conn.
Regular Season Meeting: USciences 76, Post 64 (Feb. 13, at USciences)
Key Performers: Sho Da-Silva stuffed the stat sheet with an amazing game, as he scored 27 points, ripped down six rebounds, swiped four steals and blocked three shots to lead the Devils to the win. Tyler Desrosiers led the Eagles' offensive effort with 14 points.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia (N.Y.) College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Nyack College, Philadelphia University, Post University of Waterbury, University of the Sciences, and Wilmington University.
