The Warrior offense was on fire in the first stanza, opening the game with back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back treys to take an early 15-6 lead and led by as many as 21 points with 5:38 remaining in the half. Nyack ended first half play like they began with game with their ninth three-point basket of the frame to take a 43-29 lead.
Dominican opened the second half on an 11-4 run to cut the deficit to 47-40 with 16:48 remaining in regulation and later used a three from Travis Cook (Middletown, N.Y.) and a layup from senior Will Wise (Philadelphia, Pa.) to make the score 46-51 with 13:32 to go.
DC brought themselves within four points twice in the last minute of play, but Nyack closed out the game going 7-8 from the free throw line to hang ob for the 84-76 win.
Cook came off the bench to score a career high 23 points and six rebounds.
King finished with 13 points and four rebounds.
Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) netted 10 points and six caroms, while Kristopher Hargraves* (Teaneck, N.J.) also had 10 points.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 10-17 overall and 9-9 in conference play.
The Chargers conclude the regular season on Tuesday night as they host Post University.
