CHARGERS TURN BACK RAMS

With the win, Dominican improves to 8-14 overall and 7-6 in CACC play.
The first half was tied at 5-all when the Rams went on a 11-0 tear to pull infront 16-5 with 11:30 remaining in the stanza. Trailing 24-17 with a little over five minutes to go, Dominican went on a 6-2 run to cut the lead to three points (26-23), but Philadelphia was able to regain a 32-27 advantage at the break.
Senior guard Joe Clinton* (Pearl River, N.Y.) had a team high nine points in the first half, going 2-4 from the three point arc.
Philadelphia led 40-33 with 15:32 left in regulation when the Charger offense awoke and went on a 14-2 run, including back-to-back treys from Clinton and fellow senior Glenn Scalia (River Vale, N.J.) to pull ahead 47-42. The Rams would cut the lead to a point, 49-48, with 9:19 on the clock, but a 12-3 Dominican run would give them a double-digit lead (62-51) with under four minutes to play.
Clinton ended the scoring by going 1-2 from the free throw line to secure the 65-54 victory.
Hargraves led three Chargers in double-figures with 14 points, three steals and five assists.
Clinton contributed 13 points and five assists, while Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) also netted 13 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Altine King (Brooklyn, N.Y.) came off the bench to score eight points, grab a team leading seven rebounds and a game high five steals in the victory.
The Chargers will travel to conference opponent, Concordia College, this coming Tuesday evening.
