BLOOMFIELD DEACONS BEAT MEN'S BASKETBALL
Orangeburg, NY (1/10/12) The Bloomfield College men's basketball team scored 47 points in the second half to defeat host, Dominican College, 78-71, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. With the loss, Dominican falls to 9-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while Bloomfield improves to 12-5 overall and 6-1 in the CACC.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 9-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while Bloomfield improves to 12-5 overall and 6-1 in the CACC.
The Chargers held a 32-31 advantage at the intermission as center Cory Quimby* (Otisville, NY) led the way with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Bloomfield started off the second half with a 12-5 run to gain a 43-37 lead with 15:19 left in regulation. A Daniel Woods (Upper Marlboro, MD) layup with 6:18 to go cut the Deacon lead to 62-60, but the Deacons rallied with eight consecutive points to pull ahead 70-60 and went on to the 78-71 victory.
Quimby led all scorers with 22 points and 10 rebounds to record his 11th double-double of the season. Guard Khaleev Ginyard (Brentwood, NY) added 10 points, while Johnathan Brown (Central Islip, NY) scored eight points and five rebounds off the bench. Leon Porter II* (Laurel, MD) had a game leading seven assists in the loss.
Dominican returns to action on Wednesday, January 18th when they travel to CACC North Division opponent, Concordia College. Game time is set for 7pm.
