SPARTANS UPEND MEN'S GOLF TO WIN ROCKLAND CUP
Pomona, N.Y. (4/10/26) The Dominican University New York men's golf team faced off against St. Thomas Aquinas College in the Rockland Cup held today at Philip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course.
The Spartans came away with the top spot as they shot a 298, compared to the Charger's 305 team score.
Dominican had 11 birdies on the day and two eagles on the day. Both eagles belonged to Bruno Pardo on holes 10 and 11.
Junior Bruno Pardo was the high finisher for the Chargers as he took second place with a score of 71. Along with the two eagles, Pardo had three birdies.
Joseph Benesch tied for fifth place with a score of 77 with two birdies on the afternoon, while Colin Kowalski tied for seventh place with a score of 78 and two birdies.
Sophomore Giacomo Moltedo finished with a score of 79 to tie for ninth place with two birdies and Rodrigo Romero had two birdies and a score of 84.
The Chargers return to action on Monday at the Penmen Spring Invitational.
