CHARGERS GOLF TAKE THIRD PLACE AT NYACK COLLEGE TOURNAMENT
Wallkill, N.Y. (10/2/12) The Dominican College golf team finished in third place at the Nyack College Tournament held on September 29th and 30th at the Wallkill Golf Course. Manhattan College took first place, followed by host Nyack College, Dominican College, Felician College and Holy Family University.
Wallkill, N.Y. (10/2/12) The Dominican College golf team finished in third place at the Nyack College Tournament held on September 29th and 30th at the Wallkill Golf Course. Manhattan College took first place, followed by host Nyack College, Dominican College, Felician College and Holy Family University.
Dominican finished with a team score of 634 in the par 72 course. Manhattan had a team score of 616, followed by Nyack College with a score of 627. DC had a day one total of 323 and improved by 12 strokes on day two with a 311 combined score.
Junior Keith Prokop (Ramsey, N.J.) was the top finisher for the Chargers as he tied for fourth place with a total score of 152 (78,84).
Eric Reiher (Milford, Pa.) shot a two-day total of 157 (77,80) to finish in a three-way tie for ninth place.
Anthony Schifano (Ramsey, N.J.), Brian McGuigan (Hawthorne, N.J.) and Carlos Fonacier (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) all tied for 23rd place with a combined score of 166. Schifano had a day one score of 87, but bounced back on day two with a 79. Fonacier improved ten strokes on the second day with a round of 78 after posting an 88 on day one.
