CHARGERS GOLF IN SIXTH PLACE AFTER DAY ONE OF CHARGER CLASSIC

Orangeburg, NY (10/12/08) The Dominican College golf team shot a team score of 320 to finish day one of the Charger Classic in sixth place at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY.

Orangeburg, NY (10/12/08)  The Dominican College golf team shot a team score of 320 to finish day one of the Charger Classic in sixth place at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY.

Adelphi University is atop of the leaderboard with a team score of 300, followed by St. Thomas Aquinas College with a 306, American International College is in third with a team score of 311, followed by Goldey-Beacom College with a 312, Dowling College with a 315 and Dominican with a 320 to round out the top six.

Senior AJ Lee (Nanuet, NY) is in a tie for second place after round one with a score of 73.  Freshman John Murphy III (South Windsor, CT) shot an 80 this afternoon while, sophomore Brian Kivlehan (Mahwah, NJ) had a day one score of 82.

Sophomore Thomas Lalonde (Red Hook, NY) had a first day score of 85, while Corey Fitzgerald (Sherburne, NY) rounds out the Charger scoring with round of 87.

Dominican returns to the course tomorrow in the final round of the Charger Classic.
