ROSARIO TABBED NCBWA EAST REGION HITTER OF THE WEEK

New Haven, Conn. (4/3/26)  Dominican University New York junior Fraelyn Rosario has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division II East Region Hitter of the Week for the period ending Mar. 29, the NCBWA announced on Thursday. Rosario was chosen as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Co-Player of the Week on Mar. 30.

Rosario hit .696 and slugged 1.000 as Dominican went 3-3 last week. He had seven doubles, scored nine runs, and drove in eight. He went 6 for 9 with four doubles during the Chargers' doubleheader split with Georgian Court University on Mar. 28.

Rosario is the fifth player from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to earn the NCBWA D-II East Region Hitter of the Week Award in 2026, including the second from DUNY. In 26 games this season, he is batting .427 with 15 doubles, two home runs, 22 runs scored, and 27 RBI for the 13-17 Chargers.

The NCAA Division II East Region is comprised of the CACC, East Coast Conference, and Northeast 10 Conference and contains 28 baseball-playing schools.
