DIAZ NAMED TO ABCA/RAWLINGS DII ALL-AMERICA TEAM
2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-America Teams
Orangeburg, N.Y. (6/2/25) Dominican University New York baseball player, Erick Diaz, has been named to the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA DII All-America Third Team as was announced this past Friday by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
This is Diaz's first All-American honor.
Diaz is one of four players from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be named to an All-America Team. The freshman outfielder Diaz was previously named to the ABCA/Rawlings East All-Region First Team, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Assocation (NCBWA) All-East Region First Team and to the D2CCA All-East Region First Team. He also earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team accolades. Diaz ranked fifth in the conference in hits and home runs, first in triples and seventh in RBIs.

The Chair of the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee is Rudy Garbalosa of Lynn University. Also on the committee are Jim Gantt (Catawba College), Rick Giannetti (Dominican University New York), Dave Hajek (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs), Ryan Kelley (Wayne State University), Alex Koch (Wayne State College) and Marc Marizzaldi (Seton Hill University) and Tony Schifano (San Francisco State University).
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
