FOUR CHARGERS NAMED TO D2CCA EAST REGION TEAMS

2025 D2CCA All-East Region Teams

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/19/25)  Four members of the Dominican University New York basball team were named to the 2025 D2CCA All-East Region Teams which were announced today.

Outfielders Jaden Maia and Erick Diaz were named to the First Team, while catcher Ty Gilligan and Kevin Hirsch were named to the Second Team.

Maia earns his second All-Region honors after recently being named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team and to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Assocation (NCBWA) All-East Region First Team.  He was second in the conference in batting average and was tied for third in hits.

Outfielder Diaz also earns his second All-Region accolades after being named to the All-CACC First Team and to the NCBWA All-East Region Second Team.  He ranked fifth in the conference in hits and home runs, first in triples and seventh in RBIs.

Catcher Gilligan was also an All-CACC First Team honoree and was previously named to the NCBWA All-East Second Team. 

Designated hitter Hirsch makes his second appearance on an All-Region Team after previously being named to NCBWA All-East Region Second Team.  He was also named to the All-CACC First Team and was third in the conference in doubles and 10th hits.
