FOUR PLAYERS NAMED TO 2025 NCBWA EAST ALL-REGION BASEBALL TEAMS

2025 NCBWA East All-Region Teams

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/17/25)  Four members of the Dominican University New York basball team were named to the 2025 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Assocation (NCBWA) East All-Region Teams which were announced on Friday.

Sophomore outfielder Jaden Maia was named to the First Team, while Ty Gilligan, Erick Diaz and Kevin Hirsch all earned Second Team accolades.

Maia earns his first All-Region honors after recently being named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team.  He is second in the conference in batting average and was tied for third in hits.

Catcher Gilligan was also an All-CACC First Team honoree and earns his first All-Region Second Team honors this year. 

Outfielder Diaz also earns his first All-Region Second Team accolades after being named to the All-CACC First Team.  He ranked fifth in the conference in hits and home runs, first in triples and seventh in RBIs.

Designated hitter Hirsch makes his first appearance on the All-Region Team after previously being named to the All-CACC First Team.  He was third in the conference in doubles and 10th hits.
