Orangeburg, NY (5/2/12) The Dominican College baseball team improved to 23-24 overall after defeating non-conference opponent, Molloy College, 8-3, this afternoon in a game played at Veteran's Memorial Park. With the loss, the Lions now stand at 19-26 on the season.

Dominican scored three runs in the first inning as Tony Blake (Windsor, CT) hit a two-run double to right field and senior Xavier Bonilla (Bronx, NY) later followed with a one out RBI double down the right field line.
The Chargers added five runs in the sixth as Oliver Christensen (Coral Springs, FL) reached on a fielder's choice that scored a run and a second run scored on a Lion error. Senior Tyler Sadawske* (Waukesha, WI) hit a two-run double down the right field line and Blake followed with his second run scoring double of the day for the 8-0 lead.
Molloy got three runs in the ninth for the final 8-3 score.
Senior starter Justin Moore* (Wantagh, NY) went three innings and 2/3 innings in the no decision, striking out two and allowing one hit.
Jordan Paszek (Sussex, WI) picked up the win (2-2) in four and 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and striking out four. Nicholas Kevlin (Conway, NH) pitched the ninth inning, allowing three runs (none earned) on two hits.
DC is back in action on Friday when they travel to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
