Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/26/15)  The Student Athlete Advisory Committee sponsored the annual campus cleanup at Dominican College. The campus-wide event is organized around the campus sustainability initiative at the college and was part of the Big Charger Earth Week. 

The campus cleanup began at 11 AM on Friday morning on the campus quad. From that centralized location the student-athletes along with other students and faculty at the college spread out and collected garbage and recyclable materials and effectively improved the campus. 

The Dominican College sustainability committee has taken many steps around the campus to make the college more "Green" from recycling bins around campus to organizing the big charger earth week. Moving forward it is important for all members of the college community to care for and keep the campus clean.

 Earth Day was on April 22 and is observed each year in more then 192 countries worldwide.
